Hi

Using TrackIR, you can obviously change the axis curves to accelerate movement to see round the cockpit.

However, I don't believe this is possible in VR? If I look down and back, my VR loses tracking. Will more sensors help with this, or can exponential tracking be used with the rift as is on the TrackIR?

Does anyone have a good sensor setup? Currently I have only 1 which is above my monitor pointing at me.

Cheers

I have two sensors that are desktop level and in front of me. they work great.

I'm not aware of any acceleration. My only experience is that the Rift/VR works 1 to 1 ratio.

I never had any tracking issue with my Rift, have had it since Jan. Ran it for about a month with only one sensor, then added the Touch controllers which gave me a second sensor in Feb.

You should not be losing any tracking especially from a seated position, might want to re-run sensor setup and try placing them for more optimal performance.

My two are on my desk, one on each side, angled up slightly and inward very slightly.

Same here well only one desk top sensor, actually sitting on top of a crummy PC speaker but yeah slightly up and slightly inward facing, for Flight Sim it work s fine, I do get the odd glitch (so will 2 sensors improve that?) but 99.9% great.

I also think 1 to 1 tracking is fine and more realistic.

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.

My setup is the same and works well, one sensor is further to the right, 1 meter from seating position and angled in slightly more.

Not sure this would be good for VR, might even feel weird perhaps, I think? Be easier on the neck when dogfight tho, if it felt normal in VR.
