Hi there,

In the Viggen, especially in bright Nevada daylight, the HUD symbol font color is often too light to read from a distance. Is there any way to make it black or at least darker green?

Thanks

Hi,

I didn't want to change the color, but I made this small Mod to make the symbols more opaque, increasing their visibility quite a bit ... give it a try, its in OvGME format and doesn't trigger the IC on multiplayer games.

Best regards

PS: If it gets too bright, you can use the keys RCTL-h and RSHF-h to adjust the brightness of the HUD.

I had the exact same issue with respect to the HUD being too light.  Two questions:  Is this mod still good after 4 years?  I am going to try it later.  Second, can we change the color to something else like we can in the A10 or F18 by editing certain lua files?

It still seems to work, although I would still like it darker or the ability to change color.  What I did was take your number changes in the two lua files and inserted them in the current lua files.  See attached.  I will play with the color numbers to see if I can change colors to maybe black or bright yellow.

What would the numbers be if I wanted to make the HUD black?  All 255's?

For black it's most likely "0,0,0,(0-255 depending on wanted opacity)".

The values are likely in RGBA, 0 being none of that color and 255 being 100% of it

I have managed to change the HUD color lines to black.  As an added bonus, I figured out how also change the HUD numbers to black.  As a result of this mod, I believe the HUD is far easier to read during daylight in good weather and in cloudy weather.  This mod is just an update to Rudel_chw's 2017 mod.  It does not seem to affect any of the cockpit mods.

The problem with black numbers is that it is invisible at night. 🙂 Can you please make both the lines and letters yellow?

If not, please kindly help and indicate where I have to make changes. Thanks
