The normal map tiling on the windows is, well tight. Goes for the windshield too, even though its not visible in this VR shot. The normal tiling is too tight on all the glass areas.

Some of the reflections, be it the environment map or 'faked' reflections, are quite strong too.

Is that what it is ?

I was just coming on here to post about the Glass Texture(s).

I actually don't have any issues with the Windshield or Any of the other windows Except for the Side Windows which I can hardly see through to make out what I'm looking at.

There is a really aggressive pattern on the glass like someone put some shitty old, textured Mac-Tac on the windows. The only thing missing is the Stained-Glass Textured Mac-Tac Finish. Heck, might as well make it the Brick Pattern ?

After this weeks update I have a completely black windshield in VR on the Nevada map when deferred shading is enabled. The weird thing is that it is fine on the Normandy map with the same settings.

Sounds like a shader not doing its thing. Try and delete the content of this folder:

C:\Users\'Your name'\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\fxo

Game will take some time to load, cause it will be re-generating the shaders.

Every time you load in a new module, it will take a little longer than usual to load too - again, re-generating the shaders for the given module.

Hi Gents

Yes, Textures are still WIP for 2.1.1 and will have to be reworked following the changes in the game.

Any chance we can get them toned down, or just plain (for the normal map), for the time being, until OpenAlpha is in a state, where you feel its time to tweak and polish the visuals?

Thanks I tried your suggestion. Now the windscreen remains black but flashed transparent every second or so and back to black. Like I said above it works fine in Normandy. This is only in Nevada. I just tested in monitor mode and the issue is there also but it flickers faster than in VR. I guess it is an issue with the ongoing texture work for deferred shading on the Gazelle. All other aircraft appear to be ok.

I'll stick with Normandy for now. By the way Polychop- VRS is now working as expected (sorry for the off topic). This module is getting better and better

Is there any more news about When there will be an update to repair/replace the Side Window Texture ?

This Cracked or Wrinkled Mac-Tac look is terrible and all but impossible to look through when the sun is shining on the side windows. It is really annoying and cannot reflect reality (get it ? reflect ! ... sorry).

I would be grateful if this issue were resolved SOON Please.

Agree with all the above.

Cockpit too dark and 2 different glass crack textures...both overdone.

Possibly adding to lower fps.

Looking forward to a fix as I enjoy flying her immensely in VR.
