Continuous flare, chaff

Hi. Is there a key command that will dispense continuous chaf and flare together at the same time with just 1press of a button? And will continue until I press the stop button ?

There is. browse through your key assignments and you will find it.

Maybe shift + q, but I don't remember.

I think it's LShift+Q. But I'm not where I can doublecheck.

Is it effective tho? I know it's far more efficient and leads to not burning away your countermeasures too quickly

It depends. Against the AI, yes. Against a missile spamming human online, less so.

That could be QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ..... usually followed by LCtrl+EEE

With TARGET or AHK or similar software you can do almost anything you can imagine. I was experimenting with timed chaff sequences.. but I haven't actually gone through testing their effectiveness. Although to me it's more about not having to continously spam some button on the HOTAS, there are far better things to do in the heat.

It's nice to not spam stuff on the HOTAS because it adds unnecessary wear and tear to the switches.

I have also made some macros on my WH for this.

It works well for flares.

Chaff seems to be more inconclussive.
