As the title say’s... I’ve watched every vid on utube and I can’t get the bloody thing to start ( think I got one that was made in a Friday afternoon and they forgot to fit a starter before going to the pub )

The fuel proportioner light does not go out on the warning panel hence it won’t start.. at the stage of redownloading it, just wondering if anyone else has this problem or bug

Move the parking brake forwards so you can move the throttle

If it's not starting up then move the throttle cutoff that's on the throttle (Near where the parking brake is)

And put the throttle back to idle and push it forwards.

After it starts click the throttle cutoff again to put it back so you don't accidentally shut down the aircraft when you lower the throttle beyond certain point

Make sure throttle is all the way in cut off. It would be a good idea to assign a key to throttle cut off. Once you make sure throttle is in cut off. Check the DECS switch is on, Fuel Cut off is on, Gen switch on gen, then battery on and engne start to start. at 5% RPM or higher ( RPM has a decimal point so looks like 50) press throttle cut of again and move throttle forward and back to idle. If you have a warthog throttle, AFAIK, there is a actual cut position you have to place it on.

Also, pocket guide has a step by step procedure.

Pocket guide can be found in:

The drive you installed DCS:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\AV8BNA\Doc

Also, there are several links for the real life manual, A1-AV8BB-NFM-000 has all the require starting procedures and checks.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..

No, not necessary at all.

Just map the cut off to the idle detent position for your throttle, to do so, go to the controls, find the Throttle cutoff entry, double click the box under the appropriate controller, move the throttle in and out of the cut off position until a key entry registers and save it.

Ensure first you have the battery on, the Generator on, the three fuel switches forwards, the fuel cut off lever down, and the DECS switch up (just above the throttle).

Then move the starter switch to the forward position, and the engine will commence the start up - make sure the throttle remains at the cut off position until the revs stabilise then lift it out of the cut off and advance it until the engine starts to wind up.

The brake lever only prevents the throttle operation AFTER start up, so it definitely isn't that.

If it doesn't work that way, then you indeed have a ropey install.

Wait for it to spool up to 92% then move the throttle to start the engines.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

It's 9.2% in fact. If you check you'll see that the RPM Gauge goes up much higher - in fact beyond 100%, but it sure as hell isn't 1000%.
