You can have Jester select DL frequencies and any TACAN fixed ground station:

consult the reference tables on User Manual pages 53-58.

 

Ok but for DL to tune to a specific freq like a CV or navy/awacs does this work? The manual only has the command for decimal 0-7(300.0-300.7) so if the freq is 322.7 then I can't tune it. This becomes a problem with MP because the Freq changes when a new awacs comes on station, and you cannot tune to the CV to get ACL/AWL.

Usually goes away on its own. Shut down VA and DCS, start VA and then DCS. Just use VA a little bit on all channels (TX nodes) and it should go away. This always works for me and it goes away in a couple of minutes.

 

Happens after DCS updates, probably with VA and Vaicom updates too. But it's a non-issue, honestly, at least in my case.

For some reason Viacom has become utterly useless for me. Out of the blue it just stopped recognizing anything I say - recognition is around 40-50% at best. I have not changed anything in my system - same microphone, same room, same environment, no extra noises, nothing. It's just utterly useless all of a sudden.

Dont see TACAN SierraTangoNovember RIO TACAN Tune STN (74X) in keyword database.. it was one of the first ones i tried lol

Go to the editor tab of the Viacom control panel (Lt CTL, Lt ALT, C) and see if the finish tab isnt orange. That is what I had to remember how to do. You have to update the profile just as you would with a new command phrase. Hopefully that helps

Hi there,

 

 

I have an issue where I am hearing Chatter etc. and voice attack/Vaicom recognise my commands however when I get a reply (say from ATC) I cannot hear it. The ATC reply can be seen in Voice Attack but I can't hear it. I have tried both methods to fix this as suggested in video - removing export.lua and using 'custom DCS path' but still hearing nothing in response. Any ideas or do I just go for a reinstall?

 

 

Any help would be hugely appreciated as this is an amazing piece of software :-). I only just bought it 2 nights ago and it is superb :-)

 

 

Managed to fix it - for some reason my options.lua in Saved Games had altered the 'headphones' setting which was set to '0'. I changed this value to '100' and BINGO - it worked :-). Phew!! If anyone else ever has this issue I hope this helps :-)

You dont need to reinstall anything.. once activated you can just go to the Vaicom config in VA.

Left ctrl - left alt - b

or

Left ctrl - left alt - v if you are using cts (not sure why he changed it.

goto the EDITOR tab

Hit "finish"

boom all the new keywords are now in your clipboard.

just paste back into the normal location in VA.

in the Vaicom config reset your Lua code.

 

Left Ctrl - Left Alt b

Left Ctrl - Left Alt v (if using CTS)

Click on reset

choose "LUA CODE"

hit "master zero"

also so when you have the config open for Vaicom goto editor

when you hit "finish" it tells you where to put the commands that it copies to the clipboard.

(category Keywords collection) and clear all existing keywords in the

'When I Say' field

I figured it out. I think that the confusing instruction is that after you click FINISH and go to edit the VAICOM profile, that to know in the Keyword Collections section, you can double click or edit any of the Spoken Commands to edit the "What I say" box. I was looking for a specific Spoken Command to edit. Does that help @Dispatch? AI Communications is listed under the column Description.

Viacom Pro no longer detects DCS module

 

There was an update tonight and now Viacom Pro is no longer working. I hears and understands me fine but is not sending the commands into DCS anymore.

 

I can use the comms menu system and that still works. The one thing I noticed is that it no longer is detecting the loaded module. It just has ------ and says "easy communication on " even though I have it off.

This has proven to be endlessly tiresome for me, but open Viacom pro config. Reset tab. Reset all but registration. Close VA and DCS. Launch VA, then DCS. Clears it up for me most times. Make sure the Finish button isn't orange in Vaicom config as well.

 

That's a different beast to mount

Do you have a custom DCS path set with OB checked on the Config page? Pull up the VAICOM panel with LFT CTL + LFT ALT + C, click the Config tab.

Great addition with AIRIO and have been really enjoying. Even so, ss there any way to toggle on the Jester wheel menu for when I am not using Vaicom (disable menus is not selected in the Presences though I don't believe that is to do with Jester)

Yes. Use CTRL + A to select everything in the What I Say box and press either delete or backspace. Then use CTRL + V to paste in the clipboard. Then click Apply.

Open Voice Attack then open Vaicom settings with left ctrl+left alt+c

 

Click the editor tab

 

 

Now click finish

 

 

You'll get a popup explaining what to do, Click ok and close the Viacom settings window.

 

Go back to Voice Attack window and with the VIACOM PRO for DCS World profile selected.

 

 

On the window that opens

 

 

Now double click the the AI communications line seen in the picture above

 

 

Click inside the When I Say box then press ctrl + a then delete

This removes the old keywords ready to have the new ones pasted in

 

 

With the When I Say box still selected press ctrl + v

This pastes the new keywords into the When I say field

 

 

There you have it an updated keyword list for Vaicom.

Updated for spanish guys the VAICOM diccionary with new ones in Spanish for the Jester RIO (and ICEMAN). 1020 sentences. Will appear in user downloads area when a moderator allows it. Search for VAICOM word.

 

Please allow the option to show the wheel menu. Many times we forget what we have to say.
