Yes i was.

Still i don't recall hearing Russian, before i installed Viacom.

Well, then you just change it back to Nato. In the Jeff they even have Chinese i think!

Isn't the tune frequency command set part of AIRIO and therefore only for the F14B?

Hehe, yes! But we have new commands for other aircrafts.

Cannot find it in the manual for the love ov my life. But it's the 2.5.17 manual.

If you want to keep your VAICOM profile, you must export/import and copy the new commands.

This is for "manual frequencies"

And for presets

i have no problem with setting the frequencies via F16C DCS v2.0.0 profile by Bailey.

I almost sue it the departure , defiantly NOT the closest one.

In any case I do not want to change the tower frequency unless i tell it to

Bailey makes nice profiles, but I rather have it differently. Have my reasons. But with what you say, it should work with my post above. I'll try later.

Anyway, I am clueless to your problem then.

You just say inbound and it tunes to departure. No easy comms, no select tunes radio and no instant select...

can i change

Select [AM; FM;] [0..3] [0..9] [0..9] decimal [0..9] [0; 2 5; 5 0; 7 5;]

to

Select [AM; FM;] [0..3] [0..9] [0..9] [decimal;point] [0..9] [0; 2 5; 5 0; 7 5;]

From a VA point of vie it will work but i do not know how Viacom analyzes this

Interesting question. I am not sure. Try. You will not break anything. But since "decimal" is not in the keywords, it might be "hard coded" in the plugin. Or, you could just add "point" as an alias.

I understand why, because you're used to it from Bailey's profile.

But I cannot get it to work.

When I say ie "select channel 6", it's recognized and beeps. But nothing happens in the airframe.

But this is exactly why I'd like to use it in VAICOM. No need for "reset Gazelle frequencies" etc. And no need to set button and switches to specific positions.

Lol. I knew nothing about radios in aircrafts really before I got VAICOM. Are you using correct TX, of course you are. Works in Easy.

Ehhh, I would've guessed frequency as well, but you seem to have that covered as well. Could you try another CP frequency? And since Crystal Palace doesn't need select command AFAIK, thats not it either.

Can you post a screenshot of VA logwith debug enabled?

I've attached the logs from debug. Sections highlighted in "RED" was from Easy Communication = OFF while the "GREEN" is after switching Easy Communication = ON.

Thanks for helping to take a look.

Had to reupload the same log file in .txt, without the highlights.

Hey Folks. I'm having the same issue as a couple of other folks where I have DCS OpenBeta installed on the C drive. I updated via the utility to OpenBeta.

I was using Voice Attack just fine and then installed VAICOM Pro. Once I went through the steps, I started DCS and it hangs up loading at 10%. I have to kill it, repair it, and then disable VAICOM Pro in VA. Once I do all that, DCS loads fine. I've seen a couple of posts about setting the path, etc. I must confess, my Windows skills are a little rusty (been using a Mac for far too many years now...) so I don't want to mess anything up. I built this machine strictly for DCS. Any help you guys can give? I definitely appreciate it.

Did you make sure you are pressing in fact the COMM1 MIC button for transmission on COMM1 71.00 MHz? What does your VA listening window says? Recognized anything?

Yes, the VA window did recognize the command with a green indicator. Similarly to when Easy Communication set to ON. The only thing I don't get is the response from AI. Immediately switching back to Easy Communication to ON, the command works fine. That's what puzzles me.

I have just tried in the F-18 and A-10c with the same result (no response). Voiceattack window shows the command is recognised and processed so probably a small change in the way DCS works behind the scenes. Can confirm that Select Crystal Palace tunes the radio correctly if Select tunes option is ticked

Glad you were able to replicate the issue. The select tunes option does get the correct frequency like Easy Communication ON but without response from AI. Wonder if this could be a bug, this is just my 3rd day with Vaicom?

Is DCS installed in the default dir?

I had the same issue and this was because DCS was installed on another drive.

If this is the case make sure you specify it in VIACOM settings

Hey all, just started playin again since the beta update. My Vaicom PRO Rio extension seems to be borked. I do the assisted startup in the 14 like normal, however Jester isn't recognizing my Checks. Voice attack is registering the command, but Jester doesn't progress through the steps unless I say "Assisted Startup" again. I'm not sure if this is something that I have done or something the update did. Anyone else having this issue? I am currently attempting a file validation (steam version) and probably a full reinstall of the VAICOM and RIO Plugin.

This has already been reported and I am sure it will be fixed soon. Assisted Startup takes you through just fine

Hi everybody,

I'm using VoiceAttack PRO wih the AIRO plugin for the F14 on DCS OpenBeta 2.5.6.47224. Everything is working fine, at least everything I've tested so far, except I'm not able to cold start the airplaine, when the RIO asks for the ICS comm check I respond with 'loud and clear', the plugin correctly recognizes the command and sends 'Confirm ICS test' but nothing happens and I'm not able to proceed further in the startup.

12:31:35.704 Joystick : 'Transmit TX5 release'

12:31:34.951 TX5 | ICS: [ F-14 AI RIO ] , [ Confirm ICS test ]

12:31:34.947 Recognized : 'loud and clear'

12:31:32.326 (awaiting additional input)

12:31:32.322 Recognized : 'jester'

12:31:30.577 Joystick

Does anyone have some suggestion? Thank you

Specs:

Steam DCS Open Beta 2.5.6.47224 (latest)

Steam VoiceAttack

VAICOM Pro with license

I had VAICOM running smoothly prior to latest update, but after the game update I couldn't make it work. Plugin appears inside DCS so it is executed, plugin starts and PTT works inside Voiceattack, but VAICOM doesn't recognize the plane I am so it doesn't work at all.

I tried the following as said in this forum:

- Deleting the Export.lua inside Saved Games/DCS/Scripts (NOTE: No open beta specific folder for the Steam version) and trying to

- Manually deleting all the files created by VAICOM inside Saved Games/DCS/ so it could reinstall them

-Custom DCS Path is set to Saved Games/DCS folder

-Pointing the Custom DCS Path to my installation folder bricks DCS

Any other idea?

For Steam version, try to not check the "ob" box under custom path, don't know if you did already.

You did of course restart VA after deleting those files, prior to starting DCS?

I'm afraid that checking the ob box just creates a folder Saved Games/DCS.openbeta even if I have checked the custom folder, so I can't make that work. Even tried to first create the files and then replacing the ones over Saved Games/DCS and deactivating ob in VAICOM but didn't work at all.

I did restart VA everytime to assure that the files are being installed whenever necessary. I'm going to attempt a manual installation

Ok... Now is working.

What I did:

- Eliminate all files from Saved Games/DCS/Scripts regarding VAICOMPRO

- Mantain Saved Games/DCS/Scripts/Export.lua entry

- Mantain Saved Games/DCS/Mods/Tech/VAICOMPRO folder and it files

- Eliminate all files that VAICOMPRO modifies inside the Steam instalation folder and re-download them though a Local Files check

Inside VAICOMPRO:

- Making double sure that Voiceattack runs as administrator

- Activate use custom DCS Path pointing towards custom Steam DCS Folder

- Activate ob check

- Activate Auto-import of new theater and modules

And all is now working, finally! Yay!!! I was missing this plugin

Select Tunes Radio for easy comms off works with all tunable radios including Viper, Hornet etc.

Test with PTT mode NORMAL/MULTI, and unless you use VSPX leave a short pause: "Batumi,..Select".

In general there can be plenty of reasons why you may not get a AI response with easy comms off: modulation, range, unit coalition, dialog state, etc.

The Loud and Clear issue for Jester in latest OB build is confirmed, will be patched in next plugin update.

Some people's install snags (e.g. STEAM) have to do with ED's code misalignments between 2.5.5 Release and 2.5.6 OB version. Life will be much better when 2.5.6 eventually propagates to Release.

In any case the updated User Manual will contain a basic troubleshooting guide covering some of the common recurring themes on this thread.

Next plugin update is planned to align with ED's DCS:Supercarrier module release, i.e. likely a few days after. Your patience is appreciated.

Stay tuned :pilotfly:

Thanks Hollywood!

Is there a list of modules that not work with Tunes Radio?

And it's there a difference analog vs digital switches? If you understand what I mean.

And what about select AM/FM/Channel command. Should it work with all modules?

The Select Tunes Radio works generally i.e. with easy comms off.

It allows you to call a recipient and have its frequency automatically tuned on the radio used.

"Batumi,..Select".

That's distinct from the manual Radio Control option which does not involve naming a recipient.

"Select 1 2 7 decimal 5", or "Select channel 5".

This works with compatible modules / radios.

Hope that makes some sense, more about it in the manual.

Cheers
