While in the forum I was trying to upload a couple of images to a post, and after clicking upload, the pop-up window would hang with an error. I discovered that the image files I was trying to upload were too large (.png files and greater than 1mb).

 

The file size needs to be checked and a warning issued if the file size is too large.

I just noticed that as well. That has been changed as it previously allowed bigger sized attachements and they changed the screenshot format from JPEG to PNG which is usally bigger than 1MB.

Well, I can manually change the screenshot to JPEG so it is small enough, but how are we supposed to upload track files now?

It says max total size: 238 kB

This is tiny by today's standards

 

Check your attachments quota, probably you have just that amount left:
