Help Picking New Laptop CPU/GPU

happy holidays everyone! i'm considering buying a new gaming laptop to complement the new upcoming DCS. so i wanted to crowd source a (seemingly) simple question:

 

what is the minimum laptop GPU/CPU that would allow one to run DCS 2.x with max settings and a constant 60fps?

 

or if there's one setting that would be ridiculous to run maxed out with a laptop (maybe tree draw distance? not sure) then what's the GPU/CPU to run at 60fps with all max settings except that one setting, if that makes sense :music_whistling:

My first thoughts were no laptop is gonna do that well. I’m sure there are some that can, but then overheating issues are gonna creep up. Maybe I’m wrong, we’ll see what others think.

A laptop with a GTX 1060 would be pretty good, and if possible with 16 GB of RAM.

i use a upper-mid-range laptop now and it gets hot. but the GPU throttles itself so it won't overheat. and i use a cooling pad, as i'm sure most people do, so not too worried about that. get to max it out! :lol:

but yeah you're point of if a laptop can even do it at all is interesting...

anything with a 1060 6GB+ would do the job well just 16GB ram and think about adding a SSD if it does not come with one installed allready.

be precise !

 

60fps at 190x1080...OR....60fps at 4K ??? makes a BIG difference.

 

 

CPU 4GHZ or faster, better faster ! 16GB, SSD, 6GB GPU or better ~NV1060+
