Intel i7 8700K

16GB Team T-Force DDR4 3200

Asus ROG Maxiimus X Hero mobo

Corsair H115i Extreme Performance CPU water cooler

 

All other parts will be from my current system.

Very nice! Enjoy it! And if you haven't looked at it yet, give RockitCool's delid tool a try. For my 7700K, 30 min of work (easy to do) dropped the temperature considerably. I'm running at 5.0GHz (was going to push it until it became unstable, but will do it after I upgrade the CPU)

I'll look into it, but right now I'm not ready to go that extreme.

I have my 8600k running at 5Ghz @30'C and 40'C gaming temps don't worry delidding till you know it needs it

I checked into it. Definitely not something I'm willing to do right now. Although it seems pretty straight forward, I'll wait on it.

You can have an All-Core Turbo of 4.7 with just XMP and answering YES to the popup that comes up in Bios with Asus boards.

 

Mind you, the heat goes up as well. Good that you got that H115i extreme.

 

Are your RAM working at XMP speed ?

mind the bios, beta + normal. normal has xmp-all-core OFF as default, beta has it ON. that is the only diff.

Right now I have all cores running at 4.8 and memory running at xmp speed. All stable so far and good temps.
