 Mi-24P update

 

3D model is not at the state when we are ready to flash it to tease you yet.

We've finished modelling of hover, takeoff and general performance in the air of this helicopter.

Currently team is working on Mi-24P crew AI. Mi-24P crew AI will be available as pilot or as gunner.

 

We are aiming to implement control over AI functionality with help of AI GUI which will allow you to use only 4 buttons to give AI specific commands regarding:

 

Heading

Speed

ALtitude

Maneuvers

Hover menu

Target choice

Also we are working on AI crew targets detection logic. It will not be just all-seeing AI copilot/gunner, as you can see on pics below, AI behaviour will not be simplistic and during spotting its being modelled to mimic real pilots training logic for spotting targets. Things like distance, angle and illumination will be taken into account among many others.

In effetti, benchè non sia più interessato come una volta a questa tipologia di velivoli, l' Hind è un gran bell' elicottero dalle molteplici possibilità operative, questo modulo probabilmente avrà un notevole successo...

DCS: Mi-24P Hind

 

 

We have certainly not forgotten about all the rotor-heads! Work continues the deadly Mi-24P HIND. Using many of the same systems as the Mi-8MTV2, this project is well underway and will be a great addition to the stable of DCS World helicopters.

 

With the advancements in our terrain technology and the ability to create much more detailed low-altitude environments, the HIND will be a joy to fly. Combining both gunship and troop-carry abilities, the Mi-24P will certainly result in outstanding missions and campaigns.

 

Being a two-seat aircraft, the HIND will be a particularly interesting aircraft to fly with a friend online.

DCS World Helicopters Update

 

The Mi-24P is the next helicopter we are bringing to DCS World, created by the same the same team behind the DCS: Mi-8MTV2. This iconic attack helicopter will feature both front and back seat cockpits (including network and coop play). We are confident that it will be the most realistic simulation of the Mi-24P ever created and will add more outstanding game play for DCS World.

DCS 2020 and Beyond Update - Aircraft Modules

 

DCS: Mi-24P HIND

 

 

The Mi-24P has been in development for the past year, and it is on track to be released in 2020. The HIND will be the next helicopter for DCS World and will include cooperative multiplayer, next-generation graphics for the external model and cockpit, and a wide range of mission types from anti-armor attack to troop transport.

The Mi-24P will be an outstanding partner to the Mi-8MVT2!

NEW SCREENSHOTS AND SOME INFO ON THE DCS MI-24P

 

Eagle Dynamics (through the Belsimtek team) is working hard on the Hind and the team was kind enough to provide us with some great images of this beast.

 

The images show the cockpit of the Mi-24P which is looking fantastic, as well as three new external images.

 

The team also indicating that they are still “actively developing a 3D model of the cockpit and we carry out its ‘connection’ to the systems” As for the next steps, they are planning to start “test of flight dynamics and power plant”.

 

As the team continues development, there is still no prediction for a release date.

Qualcuno sa perchè hanno deciso di fare la versione "P" e non la "D"?

Avrei di gran lunga preferito la mitragliatrice/torretta a canne rotanti orientabile che quel cannone a due canne..

Praticamente o sei perfettamente allineato con il Target o ciccia, mentre con la torretta sei molto più flessibile. Chiaro, se ti becchi i colpi del cannone subisci più danni, ma prima ti devo beccare..

Infatti è la stessa conclusione a cui sono giunto anch'io, certo la versione con la torretta girevole stile Apache, ecc... sarebbe stata più interessante ma la sua realizzazione richiede tutta la documentazione per il sistema di guida e quant'altro che appunto molto probabilmente non hanno o forse non è del tutto declassificata quindi si sono diretti sulla versione P...

The DCS: Mil Mi-24P Hind continues to make steady progress. The cockpit is currently in development and being added to the airframe with basic functionality implementation to follow. We expect to see the start of the integration of flight dynamics and power plant from mid-April.

The detail in all respects of the external model is coming along very well.

The feature set is in the final stages of the definition.

 

Flight Model

Good progress is being made. Once the final touches have been delivered on the DCS: P-47 Thunderbolt Early Access, the full focus will go onto the Mi-24P.

Gran bel lavoro c'è poco da dire, del resto la macchina è iconica e merita senz'altro tutte le attenzioni del caso.

 

Da tempo non sono più interessato all'ala rotante e non lo acquisterò ma per coloro che invece prediligono queste macchine a mio avviso è un'acquisto praticamente obbligato già solo per il multicrew.

Pur se è un modulo che mi piace moltissimo non ci volo da un po' proprio per questo problema. Se mi dici così domani e dopodomani farò qualche test e ti faccio sapere...intanto potresti linkare questa "news" riguardo il damage model?
