Kindred Posted February 5, 2007 Author Posted February 5, 2007 Okay, actually guys, I think this is a Su-35UB. Good try ;) Any Su looks awesome in my book, from the sleek design to the awesome power and prowless it shows... Cheers
Kindred Posted February 5, 2007 Author Posted February 5, 2007 But in my mind the Su47 tops them all, she has the design, flow, man, it's a nice eagle. At least it still alive in some ways....;) Wished our Canadian government would had kept our Arrow for our heritage, but that's another story... Be proud of your heritage, that's the moral of the story, lol, :D Cheers
CrazyAggie05 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 sorry i was being sarchastic. I know exactly waht you mean IK. I was simply implying that the Russian airshow pilots seem to push it up a notch way further than most others and unfortunately it has ended in disaster a few times. they really like to show off their stuff pushed to the limit which is pretty awesome. that 47 looks wicked in that video btw. I love my job :pilotfly:
bSr.LCsta Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 The worst airshow disaster in history occurred in Germany, I thought L'viv Ukraine had the worst airshow disaster in history? is this ok?
Guest IguanaKing Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 For the number of deaths, I guess you are right, but overall, the disaster at Ramstein AB was worse. 3 pilots and 67 spectators were killed. Nearly 1,000 people were hospitalized, with 346 of those being serious injuries.
SVK_Fox Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I saw only SU-35 with Victor Pugachev here in BRatislava but it was amazing an I will never forget it, after that I fall in love tu sukhoi 27 familly.

Heh...yeah, I know you were, and I agree that the Russians and Ukainians push it a little further. I imagine that the L'viv incident has probably caused at least the government of Ukraine to reevalute how their airshows are conducted. I know that the Ramstein show made NATO countries change quite a few of the rules. How's UPT going for you? Are you at Laughlin yet?
CrazyAggie05 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I leave April 8 for Laughlin!!!!!! I can't wait.... just got en e-mail with a class roster as a matter of fact. My best friend is in my class, as well as a good friend that is on Casual status with me here at Holloman. Until then, I guess it's the same old T-38 sorties in our beautiful black jets ;) I love my job :pilotfly:
Guest IguanaKing Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Your beautiful black jets? Isn't it amazing how simliar they look to the MiG-28? Have you been issued your Darth Vader helmet and gloves yet? ;) ;) ;) Crash n' burn, dude. While you're on Casual status, say "hi" to your STAs for me. :D
TucksonSonny Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Is it just me or was that Su flying backwards :D Awesome ... DELL Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 940 2,93 GHz @3 GHz, 8 MB cache | 8.192 MB 1.067 MHz Tri Channel DDR3 | 512 MB ATI® Radeon™ 4850 | 500 GB 7200 rpm Serial ATA | Samsung SM 2693 HM 25.5 " | HOTAS Cougar Thrustmaster |
D-Scythe Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Is it just me or was that Su flying backwards :D Awesome ... Dropping backwards for sure...but it's physically impossible to fly backwards unless you have some type of forward thrusters.
TucksonSonny Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Dropping backwards for sure...but it's physically impossible to fly backwards unless you have some type of forward thrusters. Or rather controlled stall moves…:D DELL Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 940 2,93 GHz @3 GHz, 8 MB cache | 8.192 MB 1.067 MHz Tri Channel DDR3 | 512 MB ATI® Radeon™ 4850 | 500 GB 7200 rpm Serial ATA | Samsung SM 2693 HM 25.5 " | HOTAS Cougar Thrustmaster |
Weta43 Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Perhaps it's impossible to do sustained flight backwards without 'reverse thrusters', but from 00':05" - 00':14" & from 01':03" - 01':05" the plane is flying backwards. (The plane is moving through the air. The plane is under the pilots control. The plane is moving backwards. => The plane is flying backwards...) Cheers.
Ukr_Alex Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I imagine that the L'viv incident has probably caused at least the government of Ukraine to reevalute how their airshows are conducted. at Laughlin yet? No, they banned airshows all together :( It was horrible what happend, but shouldnt result in ban if you ask me. :Core2Duo @ 435FSB x 7 3.05GHz : ATI x1900xtx: 2GB Patriot @ 435Mhz : WD 250Gb UATA: Seagate 320Gb SATA2: X-Fi Platinum:
Mizzy Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Dropping backwards for sure...but it's physically impossible to fly backwards unless you have some type of forward thrusters. How about the British Harrier ;) Not quite physically impossible is it! Amazing airframes the Su, it took the allied airframes (in the shape of the F-22) a great deal longer to even do a basic cobra. Russian aircraft can do backflips :D Mizzy
