Thanks BitMaster,

BTW, they issued a new series of Bios's for the Z370 series, "0606".

You may find one for your Z370 too. My RAM now boot with 3600 but they still fail memtest after 5-10min. It got better but not there yet.

everytime I see another one of these threads I am so glad I never bought Asus mobo

Every system I ever built was based on an asus mobo. BUT in the last 10 years since I built my last major system the quality goes down and the price increases.

Why should I have no choice but pay for aura LED's when I would rather have a more complete I/O. My X58 board has 10 USB slots on rear the latest has 2x2 2x3.0 and 2x some strange USB 3.1 A and C like FFS why?

And yes I will think twice next time:mad:

I used the alternative download link (google drive) show in the ASUS Administrators Forums post shown above.

Same here....:crash:

What's so ironic, is I've been in a email correspondence with ASUS canned tech support, which to this point is a laughable waste of internet bandwidth. It is as if these people don't even know that the above beta exist and resolves this issue, and as I'm wanting to see how this plays out, I'm waiting for the next reply before mentioning it. Also it seems that ASUS canned tech support is oblivious to the issue (as in head up the their exhaust nozzle  :D).

Partial quote of last email received:

At this point, I will be collaborating with our support staff so we can provide you an absolute resolution to your concern. Please allow us 24-72 hours to complete this. I will definitely provide you an update within the time frame.
I'll quote all the emails sent and received when, or if we see if ASUS tech support can figure it out.

And a Caution; :bomb:

I removed AI Suite 3 ver 1.02.28 (which came with the supplied software disk).

I installed AI Suite 3 ver 1.02.30 (which was downloaded from the support website for this particular motherboard and as instructed to do by ASUS tech support).

After rebooting, all of the motherboards USB ports were now inoperative, so it was impossible to to use my USB Keyboard and mouse (other user have reported this also).

To access this computer now, I luckily had an old serial port keyboard, in which I was able to go back to a restore point before removing AI Suite 3 ver 1.02.28, but after the windows emergency update. AI Suite 3 version 1.02.28 then restored, but still did not respond.

This could have, and likely is disastrous for other customers who do not have access to a serial keyboard, as all of the USB ports are inoperative once (re)installing AI Suite 3 ver 1.02.30. This could be the same for other later versions.

What Asus is to you is MSI for me. never ever again, no board and no gpu.

Gigabyte makes some decent boards meanwhile. I guess my next pick is AMD + Gigabyte and not Asus + Intel anymore.

next thing I actually need is 2 more 1070 Ti for mining.

this damn single 1080ti makes ~270€/month mining altcoins.
