@sniffer & @gigz - there's a few "awwwwww \o/" pictures you got there. Nice ones, folks :)

Especially the F-16 rear, and the 'Phoon front :)

Wow cool photos guys. But what is this huge monitor thats missing in US falcons?

It is not missing from US aircraft. If I remember my acronyms correctly it is a ASHM (Aft seat head-up display) Is is in block 40 and 42 and it is big because the main propose for it was to give the rear pilot FLIR image to fly at night and at low altitude. Some block 50 /52 have them as well in the US but it depends on their mods and every country that buys the F-16 has different configurations so it might be in some block 52 but not in others.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Pretty useful. Can it be used for targeting also not just for navigation?

I just duplicates the HUD image on the back seat, so the pilot can see. It has the same functionality as the front HUD. It can not be used as a MFD if that is what you are asking. At least not the aircraft I have work on. I could not tell you about other countries but I doubt you could use it as a MFD.

Few days ago there was an excersises ZLOT 2009. It's more meeting all polish "flyable planes" than excersises...

Yes newer blocks are uglier and uglier. Same to MiGs, both of them have humps and they look like as on steroids ;]

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

Block 60 is so ugly :doh:

Block 52+ Only country with block 60 is U.A.E. I think they look cool. Specially when fully loaded.

I don't think so. Also keep in mind those conformal fuel tanks can be taken off from the fuselage.

On the Loyal Arrow 2009 polish F-16s won with the Grippens 4:0 in the dogfights (and IIRC with finnish F-18 they won too).
