Yet Another Question About Steam vs E-Shop

I asked this on the official migration thread but it was deleted because reasons.

 

So, I have FC3 and A-10C on Steam. AFAIK I can activate those modules if I download the standalone DCS World version on the E-Shop, right? But I won't lose those modules on Steam, right? And is there some kind of activation limit or these modules now are bound to an E-Shop account?

 

I was thinking about downloading 2.5 Open Beta over the E-Shop when it's release and activating my modules from Steam on it to give it a go if those statements above are right. Don't wanna lose my modules on Steam + I might wanna keep 1.5.8 depending on the 2.5 performance.

Yes, that's correct (for those two DLCs)

Correct, you will still have them on your account (as well as on ED's account, since you have to activate your serials on ED in order to use them on standalone)

Dont know how the activations work on Steam, but on ED's you get 10 activations and 10 deactivations ... you have to perform a deactivation/activation when your PC suffers a big change, like a motherboard replacement for example.

I dont see any problem with doing that ... I migrated from Steam to ED's three years ago and havent looked back :)

Both FC3 and A-10C on steam use the Same DRM. Simply Need to Bind the Serials to your DCS E-Shop Login and install on Standalone, they shouldnt need to be activated again since the starforce key and machine ID will be the same.
