UI Layer settings -> toggle VR zoom - works as slow animation in VR making incredible nausea. Please make it instant zoom and instant zoom-out after key release.

Otherwise to be competitive in multiplayer VR users will have to:

There is as well something wrong with the zoom, as the head movement is something totally weird that cause terrible experience. Needed just to try out that zoom feature as I haven't ever used any zoom feature in DCS and now I will keep it away.

I would instead that like to see the cockpits to be re-designed VR in mind, simplifying textures, enlarging buttons and switches and cauges and making all just with higher contrast so it would be easy to see cockpit elements without any zooming or leaning forward. All texts should be readable from default head position etc.

i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S.

i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.

It is not fisheye, it is more like they zoom in and then they lock the camera position and your head movement and rotation just moves the FOV as projector around that front area.

Something totally terrible just.

just making it instant will help a little and is quite easy to do - we would instant zoom in and out without moving head while zooming. It's essential for WWII spotting/identifying targets!

Agreed it is pretty slow, certainly needs to be faster.

Can you guys give me a hint, where I could find VR-zoom.

I remember a few months back, I stumbled across "VR-zoom" a coupe of times in the settings menu, but now that I have a rift I can't seem to find it anymore. Where did it go?

I would love to give it a try.

UI Layer

Just to add on that: it's located where you assign keybindings. Look for UI layer in the dropdown menu.
