Indeed i find it very strange that so much ram is used. For instance when i joined a MP game it was using almost 10gb of ram when i exited it stayed on 11gb ram there was no flushing at all. After i exited the MP i started a SP and the game crashed.

I'm also a P3d simmer and running say a FSLabs A320 and some demanding airports my ram usage never exceeds 3.5 gb ram. I know that there 2 different fish and proberly P3d 4.1 isnt in the same graphic boat as DCS but still. There appears to be a leak of some sort or over usage that needs to be looked at.

A lot of more demanding games I can run smooth on my computer (and I only got 8gb), but needing more than 16gb to be able to even enjoy the game is a bit ridiculous.

I think ED is aware of this (90% sure). It's a memory leak.

Hope they are gonna fix this soon.

Ok, so who has reported this to DCS and sent them a log file with their settings? It's all well and good to complain in a thread, but without an actual bug report and log file, The DCS team might not know anything about it.

When all else fails, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!

You don't really need a logfile for this, it is common enough that I am sure even the devs have this issue on their computers.

I have 8gigs of ram and after a hour of mp flying my paging file goes over 30gb...on aerobatics server. After reading all these posts I started to think about getting 8gb more ram, but hey... looks like 36gigs is the optimal. Also planned on buying the Hornet but cant afford both of it.

Am I special?

Ok balzarog this is the second time i have seen you post on a thread with this advice. This is what happens when you go to put a ticket in and report a fault.I'm sure you mean well but putting a ticket in is not an option. We can only post our logs on the threads to witch I'm yet to see an answer to.
