Still no 2.5...so frustrating.

30 hours later of straight downloading and it's still not done yet.

 

I'm on to my fourth download of 6218mb...but the download has gone past that counter and is still going.

 

First download was 53gb

Second download was 15gb

Third download was 2gb

 

I estimate all up i have downloaded approximately 70gb +...

 

I only had the 1.5.8 and 2.2 world installed.

 

Surely this is not right ?

 

Can anyone offer any assistance.

 

I'm in Australia and am on a 100mb NBN line.

The installer didn't find my 2.2 files (Nevada and Normandy) in particular on my SSD and downloaded them in full again, my advise is to read a nice book and sit back and relax, while we are playing thinking of you frustrated.

I feel your pain, 24 hours solid for me too, only to have it fail as it smashed up the space on my hdd.

 

The thought of deleting the old version, and downloading it all again to another drive has almost broke me.. Nevada map especially!!

I gave up trying to be honest, and stopped the download, as it was running at 17.6 KB's... yes KB's.

 

I've copied all the MOD folders, and _Download folders, and going to install the new open beta to a different drive.. well that was the plan..So my modules, and terrains should not need a full install again.

 

but pretty much every file that needs copied I'm getting this error

 

"ERROR: move_file failed: Can't move C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\API/DCS_ControlAPI.html to E:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\API/DCS_ControlAPI.html: (32) The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process."

 

 

I've no idea what this other process is.
