FragBum Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Have you enabled "Unknown Sources" in Oculus -> Settings -> General on the screen oculus page? Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.
rss0900 Posted February 2, 2018 Author Posted February 2, 2018 Have you enabled "Unknown Sources" in Oculus -> Settings -> General on the screen oculus page? Yes unkonwn sources is on in oculus settings page. When I start DCS Steam VR start even though I don't have steam running nor do I have DCS installed on steam, the I just see the white screen with the grid on the floor and the picture of the black receiver in front of me.
FragBum Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 DCS can take some time to load (seemingly longer now that I upgraded to 1080ti) how long have you waited for DCS to load? Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.
FragBum Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Wait a minute are you running DCS stand alone i.e. not a steam version? Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.
Firebird1955 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Yes unkonwn sources is on in oculus settings page. When I start DCS Steam VR start even though I don't have steam running nor do I have DCS installed on steam, the I just see the white screen with the grid on the floor and the picture of the black receiver in front of me. I think I would go where FragBum is thinking. Steam VR has nothing to do with 2.5 stand alone version. To start it on the stand alone installation, just start oculus, Start DCS and make sure use headset is checked in vr tab of options. (Simplified, but it should get you in the ballpark). rss0900 Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 Got it working Finally got this working with rift VR. Uninstall Rift, reinstall, a new version of rift was installed, when starting DCS the new version told me it was not DCS was not authorized to run or something like that, even though I had Unknown Sources turned in the prior version I was running. Turned it on in the new version and DCS is now working. If you were block oculus through your host file or advanced firewall rules, unblock to get the update. Might be worth uninstalling and reinstalling as well, it would appear whatever my prior version was it was not utilizing unknown sources correctly.
BitMaster Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 I use SkateZilla Updater Tool, it does allow you to start VR-ON or VR-OFF, update, repair, clean... A true must have for DCS Pilots. It's here in the forum, somewhere...
