"official documentation" (...) is not reliable enough at all for a "study sim" (at least not yet).

And that is why you grew a beard that already turned white while waiting for Razbam to update their own manual, for which they had to hire a guy who was learning on the job, even when doing the training missions, and got lots of useful pointers from the community (not a slight against BalticDragon, he is only human and has to work with what is given to him).

 

That just goes to show how reliable "official documentation" is, it has been wrong and has been changed and is subject to change, it is not reliable enough at all for a "study sim" (at least not yet).

 

Well, in a way it is a catch 22 scenario:

 

You won’t be able to have a fully reliable official documentation until all the tweaks to the module are made - and you cannot make all the tweaks without a reliable documentation :)

 

If Razbam team was to update everything by themselves then waiting time for tweaks and updates would be even longer. Tweaking something as complex as flight model, especially in the case of M-2000 with its delta wing and FBW system that allows it to do stuff that other planes can’t is not an easy job and will take time.

 

Oh, and about learning on the job - you’re right, that is why I am waiting for Harrier to hit stable beta before I start working on training for it :)
