I have lowered my settings to give a constant 45FPS in the rift (inludig no msaa) but I get constant micro-stutters (probably every 5 secs or so) where I noticed the ground just 'jump' slightly or if i am planning my view their is a very slight pause or stutter that is very noticable.

Also this sounds like a minor problem it is making me feel nauseous!

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

P.s I have also upgraded to a 8700k and dine a fresh install of Windows and DCS th4 problem persists.

Is it only in 2.5 or 1.5 too? I had this due to USB overload. Had to buy Fresco Logic based controller (Inateck KTU3FR-5O2U), install Oculus Tray Tool (it has Fresco registry tweaks) and play around with USB connection assignments. Now it's smooth.

Mine's unplayable - almost at least.

I get 45 fps then spikes down to 12 or 16 then back up to the late 30's and 40's then back down to 12 again - constant up and down of frame rates. I've tried everything to sort it but it just won't work. I have no idea what to do. My machine should kick this games ass....... but it doesn't.

Have you looked through the various threads on the forums, which include a whole bunch of suggested settings and things to do to try to eliminate issues? If not, start with those.

Can you show us your settings, I mean you should get what I would consider is pretty darn good performance with your specs, mine are somewhat less and it preforms very well with Rift VR.

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.

Ok a friend of mine fixed this issue for me. Pathfinder - you truly are the man and I thank you for this.

So, start DCS in VR. Go to task manager, open all cores on the CPU part in performance. Now go to details and right click on DCS.exe. Now go to infinity and select all cores. OK out and back to DCS - a very constant and rock solid 45 fps.

I have to do this every time I start or restart DCS. Surely this issue can be resolved by Eagle Dynamics.

Cheers :-)

Yes I have and I have tried lots of settings to no avail. I have used the ocukus debug tool and my frames rate is like a heart beat with the same exact pattern of a tiny dip followed by a small increase in FPS every 3 seconds.
