COUCOUCESTMOI93 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Hello I'm having a recurring problem, other people are having the same problem. My aircraft float like drunks, impossible to fly, especially helicopters approaching buildings, ships and the ground. even with the adjustment of curves, it is impossible for me to land or take off. Compared to others where the stability of the devices is perfect. Some evoke the joystick, or the problem comes from the network, others speak of FPS, others evoke weak graphics cards. My driving respects all the rules imposed on the conduct of aircraft. My config: Graphics card 2 Gigas overclocker x 4 RAM PC 32 Gigas Processor I7. 3.5 Windows 7 Pro system. My questions are simple: Have you encountered this kind of problem, do you think it comes from deaths, how can this problem be solved definitively?
Jester986 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 So I used to have no problems flying helicopters in DCS when I had a hotas with a VERY weak centering spring. It could barely hold the stick upright, then I switch to a thrustmaster warthog... And since all DCS helicopters have been a lot more challenging. So that would be my first guess. Do you have any other helicopters in DCS to compare it to? Also keep in mind helicopters are difficult to fly and the closer a pilot gets to the ground the more likely they are to over control and start pilot induced oscillations. I'm not trying to minimize the problems you're having but there are plenty of people who are able to fly and enjoy the gazelle so just trying to help you track down the problem.

FragBum Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Perhaps review your controls, the current iteration of the Gazelle feels pretty good. Waiting for more Gazelle goodness to filter down. What seems to be the problem , the Gazelle requires only a light control on the cyclic, the lighter the better mostly. :D Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.
dimitriov Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 Hi Milady, I am afraid that it may come from your way of piloting the helicopter. Nicolas
Nooch Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 (edited) This guy must be trolling. He already posted pretty much the same thing in the French section and his post didn't make much more sense there... Edited March 6, 2018 by Nooch [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
FragBum Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 That is a shame I'm always willing to help out but trolling does no one any good. Although if genuine I would review video card and consider 1060/1070Ti for single or even smaller multi screens or 1080Ti for VR. Try saturation on cyclic (X and Y) to reduce sensitivity which should help until you get a feel for it, start at maybe 40 on both X and Y. This will reduce the tendency of over correcting and hence reduce unnecessary input that you need to correct for, otherwise known as pilot induced oscillation. Happy flying. :pilotfly: Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.
