Ramstein Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Viggen reverse thrust pulls aircraft left. I noticed in some training videos, there was not much pull in the Viggen videos made and posted on youtube. What am I doing wrong, how can I stop this nasty pull to left when applying the revere thrust on landing? Bungle_uk Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Check the wind. If you have any kind of crosswind element then this can happen. Other than that, make sure you arent braking on the left side slightly.
Zabuzard Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 (edited) Sounds unusual, I don't have this. Double check your control inputs (check the indicator with RCTRL+Enter and watch for unusual inputs, iirc), especially look for rudder and brakes. Check if you, for some reason, have heavy crosswind. But then this should happen without thrust reverser too. Check your landing gear, did you damage it on your landing? What happens if you start on the ground and apply the thrust reverser, without landing (reversing on taxiway). Does it pull to the left too? Edited March 3, 2018 by Zabuza
reilar Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Viggen can get a little unstable during roll out after touch down when using thrust reverser. To mitigate, pull stick back proportionally to how much trust you apply. With full thrust reverser during roll out, apply full back pressure on the stick.
Ramstein Posted March 7, 2018 Author Posted March 7, 2018 last time I flew, it didn't pull left.. so must have been my worn out flight stick, pedals, etc ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR
