Cannot patch DCS. Keeps downloading over and over.

keeps downloading 2 GB, then 6 GB, then again 2 GB, then 6 GB, never ending loop...

 

Please release a hotfix ASAP!! I cannot join all my friends playing online... :cry::cry:

I doubt, that an update would solve your problem ... as you are having problems to apply updates .....

 

But your might want to check your disk space - seems that you have to little space left for the updater to work properly:

 

ERROR: F:\DCS World\_downloads\Mods/terrains/Caucasus/Surface/Caucasus.surface5: (112) Es steht nicht genug Speicherplatz auf dem Datenträger zur Verfügung.

Flagrum was right, disk space was issue. And DCS updater doesn't show a message "not enough disk space", please add such thing with next patch (not every DCS user knows to open autoupdate.log). No cleanup or repair was needed, I didn't have mods installed.

Same. If there is not enough free space to download AND unpack the files on top of that (which in case of big patches like this could require several GB or more), then the updater gets stuck in a download loop without any notification to the user.

BIGNEWY: Please not check disk space to C:\ because of my 2.5ob installations is on another SSD drive, but i maked to update via directory JUNCTION.

That is why I spared for myself the 1.5.8ob latest patch with RELIABLE server list. But uncomfortable to swap saved games folder every time I use it, the real stable.
