We all see those smoke generator modeled one by one and so is reactive armor but who know if it function. How thirst I am for looking 'Smoke screen' from tank will interfere my Air to Ground missle. However it the improvment on model would be in vain if the reaction of tanks we are attacking is idiot the same as 1.2 . My native language isnt eng,plz inform me if there is any wrong grammer or use.:)
Force_Feedback Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 It will interfere with your kh-25ML, the Vikhr won't be affected by smoke screens, maybe those laser jammers, but it has to be a powerful one, directional and stuff, like, high tech even by todays standards, and the game is set in a 1994-alternate universe timeframe. The 25ML will be *directly* affected, and the Vikhr will be *indirectly* affected as the smoke screen would cause the SHKVAL to cease tracking. Can't we just designate some point, and the Vikhr will fly there, without any TV gizmos? Weta43 Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 If rather than locking onto the target object using contrast & tracking it, you just stabalise the laser inertially somewhere close (which is what happens before the 'lock') and then steer it manually to hold it over the target (like chasing a moving vehicle with the laser in an SU25 - but through the imaging system), you could still steer the vikhr in on its beam... The Su-39 (-25TM) can carry a belly pod with Kopyo-25 radar, but I dont know how useful this is against mobile ground targets......my understanding of electronics is very poor.
Weta43 Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Gyro stab works great, as long as your target isn't moving with a bit of practice you can just keep moving the box on with the moving target - or jump slightly ahead, wait, jump, etc - keeping close enough that the blast still does the deed. At least that's what I do with the vanilla 25 against moving targets - Also - if they're moving that fast won't they drive out of their own smoke? Cheers.

The Vihkir is spin stabalized, once you move that cursor, since it moves faster than the tracking, the missile starts flying wide.
Weta43 Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 If you can lock on one target, launch one Vihkir, then launch another while that one is in the air & after the first one hits swap to another target, lock, & have the missile already in the air hit the second target - which you certainly can in game & apparently should be able to do in real life - you can pan as I suggested. GGTharos Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Yep, it will. I'm not sure how successful you would be firing several missiles though - the laser's operation is automatically counted down. I think it's possible to manually set it 'on' so it emits as long as you want it to, but that isn't healthy for the laser.
