FAB Maverick Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Hello Guys! I wanna know if INS bombing on M2000c is with problems? Bugs? I created a mission to practice the INS bombing using caucasus map Starting in the air, 15 miles north of wp1. I use the "cheat" of disabling gyro drift and ins not requiring alignment! Put the wp1 10.000ft high and 22.5nm NW from the abandoned airfield in kobuleti (the famous X of Kobuleti), and on the middle of this afb, put a bunker to be destroyed! i set the WP1 as the IP. it is exactly at north of Poti City over an island where the river flows into sea. Set everything properly (-9967ft, 22.5nm, hdg 158 ) and it is not working. Strangely, after i pass the wp1, those directional "wings" appears on the hud telling me where the target is and the release bar starts going up near the target. The cross should be over the target, but it appear over the sea. If i pull and hold the trigger when the bar is going up, it releases the bomb immediately! The miz file is attatched! ThanksINS TRNG SP.miz
baltic_dragon Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Have you tried the training mission 10 (9 in NTTR)? IIRC it works fine there. Cheers! For more information, please visit my website. Hi, no it doesn't, the bombs releases immediately, instead of automatically. I've reported this bug so many times in the last year+ I can't even. I really can't even.
baltic_dragon Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 That's not a bug but a feature which has not been implemented yet :) if you hold the trigger pressed the bombs release at the correct moment. It used to work and I think it still does if you use GBU-12. However, with the Mk-8x bombs it just releases them, which makes INS bombing useless. In general we don;t need it because we're always flying in daytime and in good weather in MP, so the INS method isn't need much.

I did the full training of M2000c when i was in 1.5.8 version There, it works. I didn't try this lesson again in 2.5 OB version. I will check this now!

Doesn't makes sense use guided bombs with ins. but i will check this. Ill try with gbu and see if it releases at the correct time

Ill try with gbu and see if it releases at the correct time I think you're missing something. From Mirage 2000C system point of view, SAMP 250 = Mk-82 = GBU-12. You must always try to be as accurate as possible. Paveway II laser kit only allows to minimize the bomb's CEP. For both Mk-82 & GBU-12 you have the choice between: - CCPL direct (default attack mode) - CCPL + PI (so called INS bombing) The choice is made according to tactical and weather conditions. Note: from what I saw in game, DCS GBU-12 glide way too much. It should rather fall nose down... Mirage fanatic ! jojo Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 My answer was related to that part: Doesn't makes sense use guided bombs with ins. Otherwise, yes, there is are bugs in this mode. Mirage fanatic !
