Anyone else confirm this is still a problem in VR and A10C ... where when sat in cockpit and you adjust your seating position the hud symbology is too big and oversized for the HUD, you have to lean in with what feels like a face plant just to read all the info ....

NineLine told me it's fixed in the internal build currently, he told me this in a reply/post on here (or Hoggit?) sometime last week.

OP - I think I know what you're referring to, but do you have a link that describes in more detail what the issue is?

I don't think the default head position is correct, and have adjusted SnapViews.lua; but then I can't see all of the HUD. Just wondering if others have made adjustments, and if so what are they using?

I love the default seat setting. It places me in a great place to read the HUD characters which look very good on my system.

I agree you have to lean forward in the real jet but the whole cockpit does not line up like the new modules (M2KC, AV8B) or even the FC3 modules. No matter what I set IPD to the seat back always looks like it's 8" behind me. If I move cockpit view back to be against the backrest, I then have to move the cockpit view up or the seat to see the bottom of the HUD but the UFC looks three feet away. For whatever reason the scaling is off. I'm not bitching it's just a fact I have to deal with emmersion wise but hopefully it will be fixed soon. Till then I'll enjoy the Harrier up to the early release of the F18 ;).

Have you raised the seat to the correct height for VR? The default seat height is way too low. I raise the seat, lean forward a bit then press NP5, that puts me in the correct position with only the real life HUD constraints mentioned by others to deal with. Basically, it's my strapping in procedure.

The IPD will change the scale, and you have full freedom of movement to shift your eye point within the cockpit, and you can save viewpoints through current facilities. The real A-10C has some obscuring of the HUD, as previously mentioned.

To be fair, we are dealing with a VR headset, and a virtual cockpit. We can't expect perfection just yet, though I think the A-10C is as close as you will see in ANY simulation, wouldn't you agree?

PeterP's Neck Mod fixes the "checking my 6 and the seat is waaaay behind me" thing and has for many years. Works great, search out the thread (I'm on my phone so too lazy to find it for you, sorry).
