ChuckIV Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 I have an intermittent problem that I have no idea how to fix. Maybe some of you pilots have had the same thing happen. While in a SP mission, I ask my flight to engage bandits. They do engage the bandits after saying "2 engaging bandits, 3 engaging bandits". The only problem is that once they start chattering this message, it NEVER STOPS. They will repeat "engaging bandits" until I land and end mission. Anyone else have this bug? Were you able to fix it? Let me know, thanks thanks! ChuckIV ****** I may have stumbled across the problem. I'm noticing it's when I ask my group or wingman to "Cover me!", they say, "Engaging bandits" repeatedly until the mission is complete regardless if there are any enemy planes in the sky. I will confirm soon. ******* "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." Pikey Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 hmm, not seen this, but recently I saw a change to advanced waypoint actions in the mission editor which can turn wingman comms on/off for engagement broadcasts, so you may be able to edit it until they can report if anyone else gets this, or it's a bug introduced with that change ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
Chief1942 Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 I fly mostly the P-51D exclusively in SP mode. I have not had the issue you describe so might recommend that you do a repair or delete your saved games folder and try it all again. Good luck. It's hard to diagnose an issue when very few have it. SonofEil Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 (edited) I’ve had the “engaging bandits” message get stuck on a loop once or twice, but when I give my wingman the RTB command maybe 75% of the time he’ll get stuck on a “2, RTB” loop until he lands or (more often than not) crashes. The only way I’ve found to shut him up is to retask him. I’ll usually tell him to “orbit here” until I land and end the mission. Edit: Ha, didn’t realize this was a P-51 thread. I’ve encountered this issue with both the F-5 and Harrier. That probably means the bug is module agnostic.
