Oldgold Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 I have seen some tutorials on youtube and pilots flashlight (rctrl+L) seems to be brighter in the vids than mine. Its so dark now that using it makes no sense. I think it already was like that before the 2.5.1 update. I attached printscreen on which I pointed the flashlight on G load indicator. razo+r Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 Turn off defered shading and it will get brighter. You can also adjust the Gamma correction to 2 and higher and everything will get brighter too.
kurtz667 Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 Turning off deferred shading is no longer an option since 2.5.1 Spoiler Modules: FC3, KA-50, MIG-21, F-18, F-14, UH-1H, Spitfire, F-5E, A-10c II, A-4E, SC, F-16, CA, M2000c, BF-109K-4, Mi-24P Terrains:Nevada, Persian gulf, Normandy + Asset pack, Syria PC setup:I7 8700k, 32g ram, m2 ssd, gtx 1080ti, Warthog TM, MFG crosswind, Playseat Air Force, Reverb G2
lemoen Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 The other planes have the same problem. Also flood lights are weak, as well as taxi/landing lights.

Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Hi guys. The torch light we use is an in-game engine feature we can't fix. Hopefully someone submitted a bug report to ED There are multiple posts about it already, ever since it popped up in DCS 2.1 (when deferred shading was first introduced). As you say, it's up to ED to fix this since all modules that have a flashlight are experiencing this problem.
