jef32 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Hi It's just a detail but when asking the take-off clearance, we must be just on the runway threshold to have an answer from tower and not just front of the waypoint line as in real. philstyle Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 The ATC needs work, ED are aware and it is on the list of things to improve. Excellent. I had noticed this issue also and was hoping it would addressed. There seem to be twon parts to the error: 1. The clearance doesn't arrive until once you cross ontot he RWY proper, and 2. As long as you are moving, celarance is denied. As soon as player isa stationary, clearance is recieved. I would propose that clearance from ATC be communicated prior to line up, but winthin 50m or so of the RWY; and that it can be granted irrespective of whether or not the player is stationary. A possible "line-up and wait" from ATC before clearance could also be nice, but that would require additional circumstances and code to implement sensibly (i.e. no-one on approach, but within a short time after a heavy-aircraft having landed in order to clear turbulent air). Emmy Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Sidebar on this issue: If AI can line up with you as a four-ship when your SP property is "Take Off From Runway" .. Why can't they line up with you if you taxi from the ramp?
