Rolling clouds

I was doing some free flying info the FC3 F15 on Caucasus tonight and decided to fly through a few clouds rolling into them.

I noticed that the individual "cotton balls" the clouds are composed of roll themselves. It looks to me like the roll rate of these clouds within the view is not fully opposed to the viewers roll rate.

 

Did anyone notice the same thing?

It's been that way since LockOn... The clouds are 3D sprites IIRC...

I seem to recall LOMAC having layers for the cumulostratus that were quite convincing from above.

That's all fine, if someone would just fix the roll rate of these sprites it would look perfect... even if it's just sprites.

Agreed, though maybe I'm mistaken but I think volumetric clouds are in the works.
