Nealius Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 I used to have the same problem. Similar problem with all the jets, really. I retard throttle to near idle, don't use speed brakes, and I just maintain a 3G turn. I'll typically end up around 200-230kts on the downwind, about 6-7 units AoA. Nozzles to 25°, drop the gear, adjust to that 8-10 units AoA. Nozzles to 50° or 60° when abeam the numbers, then turn to final.
baltic_dragon Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 I had the same problem when building a training mission for conventional landing. Even consulted with a Harrier pilot. He said that they don’t use the speed brake. Also check your fuel quantity if you have tok much you may be a bit heavy. Use stick to get to 10 but then you are OK to use the throttle.
