The mission I was making for the server taking place in the Persian Gulf map is ready actually, but for some reason my computer seems to crash every time I try to fly the mission for some testing. It's not the mission itself, it's the map. I can't test the mission! And as such, I wont be able to add it to the server. That's not how I do it. Maybe when I upgrade my computer, things will be alright.

On Phone Booth you cant choose your own skin. But maybe that is how it so pose to be?

Hey there, just recently starting with this server in the MiG-21. Was on the mission Supervision, I believe, the other night and was never able to load anything except tanks and heatseekers. No countermeasures or anything like that. Another guy on the server had no problem. When the server rotated to the sail one (I forget the exact name) I was still unable to equip countermeasures (or radar missiles/bombs/ATGMs, but this may be intentional?). Read through the whole thread looking for an answer but didn't find anything about them being disabled or anything.

Thanks for the great server!

Choosing skins has been disabled. Causes lots of lags. As much as I'd love to give players the chance of having their own skins, but I can't do that on the account of server's performance.

I'll look into it on Tuesday once back home.

The RB 05 seems to be disabled on "Supervision"

I've checked out all the bug reports you guys have issued and found nothing! Everything works as it should be working.

Now, I'm back in the Mission Editor hoping to bring out a mission in the Caucasus tonight that I think will become my favourite :music_whistling:

Operation: When The Mountains Cry

*** The mission runs for 5 hours, unless the objective is completed ***

Situation:

RED airbases: Kutaisi, Senaki, Kobuleti and Batumi.
BLUE airbases: Tbilisi, Vaziani and Soganlug.

At the southern parts of the Caucasus each coalition has managed to seize 4 lakes. The ninth lake (check out the briefing images) is neutral at mission's start.
These lakes are top priority for both coalitions. Destroying the enemy's assets at his lakes while protecting friendly assets at friendly lakes is the objective.

In addition, both coalitions seek to capture and hold the ninth and neutral lake by deploying ground units not too far away from it.
Bombs will be dropped, rockets will be cruising and lakes will be on fire until the mountains cry.

NOTE:
Teamwork is the key! Use SRS and get on comms.

RED Objectives:

MiG's, F1's and L-39's:

- Waypoint-1 is the enemy's main water station.
- Waypoint-2 is the enemy's second water station.
- Waypoint-3 is the enemy's third water station.
- Waypoint-4 is the enemy's fourth and last water station.
- Waypoint-5 is the neutral lake.

Su-25's and Mi-24's:

- Waypoint-1 is the enemy's main water station.
- Waypoint-2 is the enemy's second water station.
- Waypoint-3 is the enemy's third water station.
- Waypoint-4 is the enemy's fourth and last water station.
- Waypoint-5 is the neutral lake.

* DESTROY all enemy units and buildings at each Waypoint.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ka-50's:

ABRIS waypoints:

- Waypoint-1 is our FARP, Podkova.
- Waypoint-2 is the enemy's main water station.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mi-8's:

Deploy air defences at the lake and anywhere needed. Make sure you contact the GCI operator if available and provide your service.

Mi-8's -> Picking up crates:
Bring up your radio menu, select F10 for CTLD and then whatever type of crates you want to pick up.

*** You can only pick up one crate at a time ***

For picking up a crate, maintain hover over it for 5 seconds while keeping an altitude of at least 7.5 meters and a maximum altitude of 15 meters.

To unpack a crate, make sure you're at least 5 km away from the FARP.

Note that you have a maximum of 32 crates. 1 x infantry squad counts as 1 crate.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Combined Arms:

The 2 cmdr slots are for players controlling ground units while being on SRS with each other and other players to coordinate their attacks.
You MUST be on SRS as a cmdr operator!
You can use the JTAC slot to drive a ground unit. However, that requires you being on comms with cmdr operators to avoid confusion and/or causing problems to their attacks.

Sounds great Alpenwolf, excited to try it out. How will we know what side holds each lake; will it use spawn soldier "markers" like some of your other maps?

Very simple:

Use the cmdr (GCI) slot to determine if your lakes are still Red (if you're Red GCI) or Blue (if you're Blue GCI). If not, you wont see "FARP" markers on the F-10 map.

When using the GCI slot you can see all units of your coalition. If you see nothing at a certain friendly water station, then that means the enemy has it.

Thanks for notifying that. I also included that in the mission's briefing.

Operation When The Mountains Cry ran once now and it looks like Blue managed to destroy the fourth water station belonging to Red and succeeded at deploying troops there to secure the area.

Various raids here and there on both sides, but mostly Blue had been more active.

Teamkilling is still an issue with many players. Please, read the briefing, understand it, use the marks I put on the F-10 map and only then navigate your way to the target areas. Some Blue players killed some AI ground units thinking they were Red. I mean, if you're not sure about a target area being hostile or not, then at least fly close but carefully to that target area and see if they fire at you or not. If they don't, then fly closer and try to IFF visually. I mean, Certainly, you can distinguish between a BTR-80 and a M-113. Or a Shilka and a Vulcan. Or a BMP-2 and a Bradley...

That's how it's gonna be from now on. I aim to design missions only like that. The problem is, what do I do with the 10 "small" mission I have?

a compilation made with the Albatros of these days

Great flying! Great gun kills!

However, when I fly the L-39, I always stay low. 10-30 meters AGL. I never chase a bandit up high into the sky. The fact that I don't have flares keeps me close to the ground. But you did well

Maybe we could team up sometime. I fly the L-39 with NaCH quite often.
