You guys transition aircraft also??? You guys take this stuff serial! :P

Well the idea is that there are some guys who want to fly the Hornet but are planning on immediately jumping into the Tomcat the moment it releases. We didn't want to have our two other Hornet squadrons, 87 and 15, left in the lurch with a sudden brain drain when that happens. We created 201 so that the guys who are likely to drop the Hornet and not pick it back up have a place to do their thing.

CVW-8 is now recruiting pilots for VFA-201! Selectees will have the opportunity to train on the F/A-18C and learn carrier operations. Pilots within VFA-201 will all transition to the F-14B (VF-31 and VF-213) once the module is released. Check us out at https://www.cvw-8.org/!

Interesting, I've been looking for a good virtual Navy squadron. Are you guys still recruiting for Hornet drivers?

Yes sir!

VFA-87 is getting pretty close to full up, however VFA-15 in our unit still has multiple slots open. Primarily VFA-201 is for the folks who are going Tomcat as soon as it comes out.
