Raven_Morpheus Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 So, I tried forcing 8x AA in the nVidia control panel (using override application setting), to see if I could reduce jaggies, and how much I'd lose of the 40fps I get, but it doesn't seem to do anything at all. Are the in-game AA options, which kill fps, the only options that work? Thanks in advance.
The_Nephilim Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 FXAA, MFAA turned on in nvidia control panel works pretty good I keep AA in NCP OFf and MSAA in DCS Off Intel Ultra 265K 5.5GHZ / Gigabyte Z890 Aorus Elite / MSI 4070Ti Ventus 12GB / SoundBlaster Z SoundCard / Corsair Vengance 64GB Ram / HP Reverb G2 / Samsung 980 Pro 2TB Games / Crucial 512GB M.2 Win 11 Pro 21H2 / ButtKicker Gamer / CoolerMaster TD500 Mesh V2 PC Case
cthulhu68 Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 In game MSAA 2X, Nvidia CP FXAA On, and Nvidia AA set to 2X-enhance application setting works pretty good for me.
The_Nephilim Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 In game MSAA 2X, Nvidia CP FXAA On, and Nvidia AA set to 2X-enhance application setting works pretty good for me. well if you use ingame MSAA 2x there is no need for the others. for me msaa 2x is enough without other AA turned on but then it kills FPS a bit.. Biga42 Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 For me MSAA in NVidea Control Panel work better than in game. I got higher quality and better FPS.

Biga42 Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Does anybody know how to stop or diminish the flickering type effect?
petsild Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 On the topic of Nvidia AA here was written a lot and yet there occurs to poor use. If you want to take advantage of MFAA you must at least turn on the in-game MSAA 2x, otherwise it simply cannot work. This method is simply an extension of the basic aa and does not require any additional enhance or override in the drivers!
