Thinking about it, I'd say it's better to just have them be controlled exactly like rotaries. I use VR and it's a lot easier to just hold a mouse button rather than trying to keep your head still while using the scroll wheel. Anyone know why they're not rotary encoders in the real thing? Yes. But what if you want to do, say, five separate clicks, because you know you want to go up by 5 degrees? With rotaries you can left click and hold (which does not activate them), look away, then turn the mouse wheel, or drag the mouse to "move" them. Works great in VR. I only realised this was possible a few days ago (and you can see on the left that I've been around here for a while - doh!) This is something that can be accomplished very easily IRL by: placing (and holding) hand on switch looking at HSI activating switch the number of times required (whilst not having to look at it) In VR it is very difficult (if not impossible) to do this - hence my request. Spoiler Win 11 Pro, z790 i9 13900k, RTX 4090 , 64GB DDR 6400GB, OS and DCS are on separate pci-e 4.0 drives Sim hardware - VKB MCG Ultimate with 200mm extension, Virpil T-50CM3 Dual throttles. Blackhog B-explorer (A), TM Cougar MFD's (two), MFG Crosswinds with dampener. Obutto R3volution gaming pit.
