Running 2.5.0 with deferred shading off, but the light green trees look awful. Is there a mod out there, or some way to make them look better (darker)?

Would it just be a case of editing some texture files?

Hadn't even heard of it. Thanks for letting me know. Downloading now and will give it a go.

And by the way, you could try ReShade ( SweetFX ) also

Will do. edit - should've mentioned i'm using Rift, and I believe reshade doesn't work with it.

The Mustang mod did not help with the trees, btw.

The light trees is a renderer problem so they can't be "fixed" by tinkering with colours in ReShade anyway.

As of now, modders haven't found a way to edit Caucasus trees yet (Mustang's mod tweaks only LoDs for the most part), but with deferred shading becoming mandatory soon, that's what any future modding will concentrate on.

Thank you for that. Looks I've no other option than to just turn the trees off then.

I wish that was actually an option! Turning Trees to the lowest setting just looks ridiculous as trees sprout out of the ground 0.5k away as you fly along.

Combined with the spinning and changing trees do in VR - I wish if ED couldn't properly design trees they would just give you the option of turning them off entirely:(
