Can't remove weapons from loadout?

Playing FC3 with the Su-27. On the runway I bring up the console to pick a loadout and skin etc. But it only seems to change the skin not the loadout. I also could not jettison weapons. Was it just a visual bug maybe, the racks looked loaded in cockpit, or am I doing something wrong?

Maybe you enabled unlimited ammo. You can disable it via options.

I thought you had it then, but sadly not. I turned off unlimited ammo and fuel, but no joy. I restarted too but no change. Thanks anyway.

Could it be you are changing your loadout while landed on a neutral airbase by chance?

Your engines are running, based on the rest of your comments. FC3 jets can be refueled while the engines are running, but they must be completely spooled down to 0% RPM before the ground crew will rearm the aircraft. You can check this in the F2 external view in the information bar at the bottom of the screen.
