Game hangs forever when loading a mission

Every single time I join an MP server, the game freezes in the lobby, then the screen goes black.

I check the task manager and the process is running, no apparent problems.

 

I left it there even for one hour, and nothing happens.

 

The only way out is to close the process and re-start the game. The second time I try to join, again it freezes in the lobby, but after a few minutes, it starts to work.

 

 

Again, this is not sporadic, it happens every single time I join a server or load a mission with more than a few units.

 

 

DCS is installed on a 1Tb WD Caviar Black mechanical drive (7200 rpm), yes I know it's not an SSD, but this is not a matter of slow loading times (I put up with that), it's basically a CTD without a CTD, and no crashlog is produced apparently. :doh:

I have infinite loading screen after ending some campaign missions

16Gb RAM is not enough for MP in 2.5. Have a look how it fills to 100% when MP loads.
