Yeah it's there ZoSo. For some reason the forum will not let me post YouTube videos. Could be due to shoddy Forum software. It worked on other Forums :)

I've been using this. If you hit the numbers especially 400ft at 1 mile things are significantly easier

You shouldn't do CASE 1 patterns in CASE 3 conditions (night).

| i9 12900K |  64GB DDR5-6000 | STRIX RTX 4090 OC | LG 38GN950 38" |

| Hanns-G HT225HPB | TIR 5 & Varjo Aero | Virpil Throttle & Stick | TM TPRs |

You don't stop playing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop playing.

His pic is actually showing the case 3 pattern. :music_whistling:

Until we have some ils based system, doing a case 1 by night and low visibility is still easier and safer than a straight in.

Try doing that straight in right now with less than 1miles visibility

Tacan is very effective for making an approach at night; give it a try :joystick:

I use Tacan to approach.. but with very reduced visibility, its easier to keep sight of the carrier in a case 1 pattern.

I can do straight ins as well, but the final is way less accurate.

again, im not talking night only. Watch my video. its a storm with fog, with less than a nautical mile visibility.

Anyways until we get ILS doing case 3 is pointless if you wnana go by the proper procedures, as part of it is flying the needles around 5nm if i remember, and intercepting glidesope around 3 nm which is way further than the Balls we can guide ourselved with. At least we got last patch the Cross Track Error Indicator.

Keep in mind this is Case 3, you can't be doing this online when everyone else is doing Case 1, unless you're flying the E-2/C-2.

lol I'm the guy telling everyone else to stop flying out 4 miles on downwind. I don't do Case III online...
