Hello.

I recognized a strange behavior, or I just don't know how to get the Nav-System back to "autoswitch-mode", when passing a waypoint.

While flying, if I switch one time to RB75 and back, the Nav-Computer doesn't switch to the next Waypoint anymore, if I pass the actual one.

If I do nothing with the weapon selector during the whole flight, the NAV System switches the to the next waypoint automaticly.

I dont know, whether its somethig about switching to the EP-13/RB75, or it just by moving the weapon selector...

Is there a way to get it back to the usual waypoint-autoswitch-mode?

Regards

PS.

Even reloading from Datacardridge has no effect.

Master Mode selector to NAV is a requirement iirc.

*unexpected flight behaviour* Oh shiii*** ! What ? Why ? What is happening ?

Of course, it is.

I have a small navigation-start-landing mission, which I run from ME anytime.

I found out, that this has something to do with the manual radar fix and pressing TV Fix, T0, T1 in wrong modes. But clearing the offsets, like described on page 264 wont work. I dont get the waypoints back to initial position.

Sometimes the mission starts with and ES, sometimes with an LS.

I figured out, that is has something to do with T0.

The Viggen does not start with T0 at any time, when entering the cockpit.

And it has something to do, what u did before. Somehow the parameter is taken over from what u did in the mission before.

Or how it can be, that I enter the cockpit and an E is flashing? In T0 it can't flash, I thought?

And, if I think further, maybe the Viggen starts in the Air maybe in T1?? And what happens, if u press in NAV Mode, with Radar in A0? U fix ur own position. And maybe that's why, my mission started in the Air with a flashing E and I couldnt pass waypoints anymore?

Yes, thats a huge BUG:

The position of the fix switch is taken from mission to mission. How you left it before, the next mission will start with. If u leave the viggen in T1, T1 is activated, if u reload the mission.

  1. Create a mission, where u start off the runway.
  2. Load the mission -> LS is shown
  3. Switch to T1 -> ES is flashing
  4. End the mission
  5. Reload the mission -> ES is flashing
  6. Switch to T0 -> LS is shown
  7. End the mission
  8. Reload the mission -> LS is shown

So, the LAST state is taken over. Maybe not, if I restart DCS.

And if it handles TV the same way, ur navigation is messed up by starting the mission in TV, if airborne @start?

But I think the developers should debugg this behavior.

Yes they are aware of issues like this, if I understand it correctly they are due to some programming principles decided upon early in the process that turned out not so good, and have encourage us to point out any "survivors", like this one. Hopefully they see this.

Yeah, that all can be. But what can't be, is:

Starting a mission in the air with A0 and TV initialized. Then, the mission starts with an own position fix, I think, and ur NAV is broken until u re-fix it.

And the DEVS need to avoid, that that can happen. So, @missionstart T0 musst be set.

BTW:

Deleting fixes as described in the manual, dont work for me.

IMPORANT:

Dont use the hotkey-command "TV Fix". Use "TV Fix (3 position-switch)".

Then it comes 100% back to T0. And u dont leave the mission in TV.
