I'm trying to put together a small mod for in-cockpit breathing sounds. In the file link below are 3 files: breathc, breathf, breaths that I got from Open Falcon. I would put it together myself but I’m afraid I’m not proficient in any sound joining software.

Please if anyone could help me, please step forward. Here is some tip that I believe is right, but correct me if I’m wrong.

If I were to guess, I believe breathf and breaths should combined with goverlimit, and maximum within the Sounds\Computer\USA or RF or GER folder. Keep in mind, whoever can help me with this that the breaths sound I got from OF probably needs to be cut down to a little over 1 sec (since it was kinda long for 3 sec). This is how I imagine it, once you start pulling the high G, it sound start with the breathf, then breaths (maybe a couple of repeats) and end it with another breathf.

The breathc sound should be joined with CockpitSystems file located at Sounds\Effects folder. Cheers to anyone that can help me.

Hope this is what you were thinking.. I've still got the project file if you want it tweaking.

Lt. Commander Block: Every aerial photo and recon report indicate a defensive arsenal in the D, and perhaps negative C, categories. There's also some anti-aircraft squadrons.

Admiral Benson: I don't have a clue what you're talkin' about, Phil. Not a clue. I have a shell the size of a fist in my head. Pork Chop Hill. The only way I can make this toupee to stay on is by magnetizing the entire upper left quadrant of my skull, so you just go ahead and do what you do.

ah very nice, and thanks for helping me. However, i can't seem to hear the regular breathing while in game. Even though you did exactly what i asked on the CockpitSystems file, i can't exactly hear it or maybe its drowned out by the other sounds. Could anyone confirm this is the right file to put the regular breathing sound over? I want to be able to hear the breathing in cockpit and during super sonic flight.

oh, also, could you make the high breathing sound for the for the other countries as well, their files are maximumangleofattack and maximumg, its located in the same area but instead of the USA folder, its in the RF, and the GER folder.

Right, here's the native betty versions. I've looped the German max-g ogg over to break up the breathing sound a little - hope it's ok. Again, I've got the project file for it if you want any changes.

cheers and thanks. I want to run a few tests to make sure the CockpitSystems file was the right one, could you beef up the breathing sound so we can hear it.

If that works, then the High G breathin may also need to be tune up a little in order to be consistent.

Hello SuperKungfu,

Here's what I came up with. Test them with the RADIO and WARNING volume level at default (audio options)

Only drawback with having constant breathing sound with the Cockpitsystems file is that when you pull hard Gs there will be two breathing sounds (goverlimit breathing and cockpitsystems will be overlapping each other so it doesn't sound consistent).

I adjusted the breathing sound when pulling Gs so that it will overpower the cockpitsystems breathing a bit. Have fun!

Ah sweet Paralyer, it works pretty well. Just a couple of request, when we start pulling the high G's, could you make it start with the breathf, then breaths (maybe a couple of repeats) and end it with another breathf. And make that same breathing for the GER and USA? Cheers and thanks.

Id like to know if one can remove certain sounds in an mp3 like vocals in music.

Usually there is no perfect way to do that. Removing vocals may cancel vocals in some songs but depending on how it was recorded. It may remove some parts of the mp3 as well.

Theres a particular song I want vocals removed and a loop made, and I wanna see if it can be done before I start making some movies.

As Paralyzer says, it depends on where the vocals are in the mix - if it's set equal centre channel (and it most often is) then you can do a 'centre cut' to remove them.. there's lots of vocal removal software that automates the process. The only thing that can fox them is when producers have panned off the reverb differently left or right. The only way to know is to try!

It will also remove the bass, snare drum mic, and kick drum mic (these are almost always panned to the center). So you may successfully remove the vocals, but you'll have a pretty funky sounding song.

Greetings SuperKungFu,

Here are the updated G breathing sounds. I did it for all the Betty sounds (even the english version).

As I said mentioned earlier. They were tested with the RADIO volume on default. If you find that the G breathing is too loud you can decrease it by using the RADIO volume.

Go ahead and pull high Gs to test them :) . Hope this is what you are looking for.

ah sweet, thanks paralyzer for doing this for me. So far it works pretty well, it adds to the immersion. I'll run a few more test this week.
