I hardly ever mess with the rockers on the MFDs (on any aircraft, really). For those of us with the Thrustmaster MFD frames, it is nice when a module permits those rockers to be reassigned to something else. That's a good 16 buttons you can free up.

Currently the Harrier does not let you do so.

So, as a wish list item for the future, put in a note to the developers to see if those two-way rockers on the MFDs could be able to be reassigned in a future patch?

You can mod this is. Basically, you just delete F161.lua and F162.lua from Harriers control settings ant they become unlocked. Look here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=196266&highlight=F162.lua

I cannot work out the details because I don't have these panels.

But it should be possible to replace the original files "F16 MFD 1.lua" and "F16 MFD 2.lua"with renamed copies of the "default.lua".

I would remove the axis commands, just leave the empty curly braces.

Manage this mod like any other mod with OvGME which allows you to swap the mod files out and back in for updates.

Like with most if not all mods, there is a downside though: Whenever the developers add new control bindings you need to update your modded files. This is not too difficult though if you use Notepad++, as there is a function for comparing files which makes it very easy to find the changed or added lines and update your modded file.

I use Thrustmater MFD frames together with Warthog stick and throttle and I assign functions to all these devices using T.A.R.G.E.T. All function mapable on a keyboard can be easy assigned to the rockers on the MFD frames this way.
