Domestos Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 I have a CH Fighterstick (grafted to a MS Sidewinder 2 FFB) and I'm obsessing about the fix trigger. Anyone got any advice on how to set it up? I assume in the real plane, the trigger is in T0 when it's not touched, in T1 for first detent and Tv for 2nd. Is it like PAC-1 and PAC-2 in the Hog? I imagine the CMS experts have all moved on now!
corvinus Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 I think you are right, but personally I only use the 'T0 Fix', 'T1 Fix' and 'TV Fix' controls. Just map these to three separate buttons. If you press 'T1 Fix' and release the button, it will actually hold T1. You have to press 'T0 Fix' to release trigger fix. You do not have to do that after 'TV Fix'. Mapping 'T1 Fix' to the first trigger stage of your joystick and 'TV Fix' to the second stage should work. There is probably an alternative, as there is a 'T0 Fix (three position switch)' and a 'TV Fix (three position switch)', but no 'T1 Fix (three position switch)'. I'm not sure what to make of those, anyone?
RagnarDa Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Those are for switches which has a neutral state (unpressed) in the middle, like many of the switches on the Warthog HOTAS. When you release one of those they will go to T1 because that would be the “up” position (neutral) on the Warthog switches. DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. If everything is a priority nothing is.
Quip Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 I propose a different analogy. Skip what what done in the Viggen and think "US", namely A-10 and F-16 etc... Use the TMS hat, and use T0 Aft T1 Fwd TV Right This approximates the way that the TMS is used in many US planes with aft being "unlock", fwd being "Hook" or "Lock" and right being"send to sensor" or such Just a tip
Domestos Posted August 31, 2018 Author Posted August 31, 2018 Thanks all.... I like Quip's logic. It will also help with the re-learning curve when I go back to the A-10 or similar and it doesn't involve much messing about.

There are so many joysticks which have a 2-stage trigger (Warthog, G940, VBK, Virpil). It would simple be the most natural thing to map the in-game 2-stage radar-trigger to your actual physical 2-stage trigger. Right now this is not possible.

Domestos Posted August 31, 2018 Author Posted August 31, 2018 I notice thet when I press the Tv fix button on its own it totally effs up my navigation points, how do I recover from that?
Eldur Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 If you haven't found out yet, try that clear button on the CK37 keypad. Press it twice in midair should reset all nav fixes.
