Same at runway, no response for takeoff clearance, yet it does appear on screen once on the runway. Creech and the other bases are unaffected. Nooch Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 There are plenty of issues with Al Dhafra and other bases as well. ED don't seem to care much about ATC these days... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Gierasimov Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Yep, since day one like that. Does not respond to start up requests, yet once starting to taxi, will give a non audible clearance to taxi to runway on screen. Same at runway, no response for takeoff clearance, yet it does appear on screen once on the runway. Creech and the other bases are unaffected. Maybe it's super secret status imposes radio silence, or they are transmitting through bands not available to human-made radios. Seriously though, it has been like that since day 1 of NTTR Intel Ultra 9 285K :: ROG STRIX Z890-A GAMING WIFI :: Kingston Fury 64GB :: MSI RTX 4080 Gaming X Trio :: VKB Gunfighter MK.III MCG Ultimate :: VPC MongoosT-50 CM3 :: non-VR :: single player :: open beta
Gierasimov Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Interesting There are plenty of issues with Al Dhafra and other bases as well. ED don't seem to care much about ATC these days... I noticed that you have to be in a specific spot before requesting. For example, holding short of the assigned runway and requesting take off from Al Dhafra ATC I get clearance 100% of the time - as long as there is no other traffic using it. Calling inbound and placing yourself in the proximity of assigned inbound course and distance also prompts "contact tower", then requesting landing works as expected. You need to continue approach with the assumption that landing clearance is given before it is actually given.
