My first trap in the Hornet with Oculus Rift. Awesome. Nearly fell into my desk from the sudden arrest.

LOL!!!

The Harrier is epic in its own right

Yeah carrier ops in the F/A 18-C in VR are pretty darn awesome!

Between those 2 choices, I have to say Hornet, if only because it has a pilot body modelled that greatly increases realism, while the AV8B does not. Aside from that, they are both great. I love carrier ops in the Hornet, but I think STOL takeoffs and VTOL landings to the tarawa are just as fun!

WVR dogfighting in the Hornet is incredible in VR, checking six never felt so real. When JHMCS arrives, with AIM9X and VR it will be a whole new ballgame.

My favourite VR module, bar none, is the Spitfire though. Flying over Normandy at dawn... just awesome.

In the F-18, go into options and select "use pilot body where available". Then in cockpit, right shift+p will turn it on and off (so you can access controls underneath your arm, for example)

The harrier doesn't have this option yet, nor does the A10.

Ditto!

My vote would be the Harrier as it spends quite a bit of time at low speeds and altitudes much like a helicopter so the VR experience is excellent..

And yes I have them both and tried them both...
