Hawkeye60 Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 From the Rift web site ------------------------------------------------- 1943 Berlin Blitz Everyone 10+ 114 Ratings In September 1943, a BBC reporter boarded a plane on an allied bombing raid over Berlin. The incredible recording he returned with forms the basis of this breathtaking experience by BBC Northern Ireland and Immersive VR Education, putting you inside a Lancaster bomber as it navigates a most dangerous journey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ FYI "Yeah, and though I work in the valley of Death, I will fear no Evil. For where there is one, there is always three. I preparest my aircraft to receive the Iron that will be delivered in the presence of my enemies. Thy ALCM and JDAM they comfort me. Power was given unto the aircrew to make peace upon the world by way of the sword. And when the call went out, Behold the "Sword of Stealth". And his name was Death. And Hell followed him. For the day of wrath has come and no mercy shall be given."

John Hargreaves Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 I found the most striking thing was that the commentary was recorded live at the time during a real bombing raid. The journalist Wynford Vaughan-Thomas, a BBC war correspondent and sound recordist, Reg Pidsley must have known that they could be killed, but went along anyway. The journalists and those young lads in the bomber crews were made of different stuff indeed. i7-7700K/Gigabyte RTX2080/Win10 64bit/32Gb RAM/Asus Xonar DX+Sennheiser HD380pro headphones/LG 34" UM65 @2560x1080/TM Warthog+VKB MkIV Rudder pedals/Rift CV1
