tmansteve Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Hi As mods etc are now being installed to the Saved Games folder, do we still have to uninstall them when DCS updates? I uninstall anything that is in the Main DCS folder. Also, I uninstall all mods from Saved Games folder. When updated, I re install them. Just need to know if this is correct so I don't waste time. Cheers
BuzzU Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 I don't do anything but notice when I update, the mods have been deleted. I just reinstall the mods after updates. Buzz

Hello, As the DCS Updates should only touch the /Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS filetree, all the Mods that you put on /Saved Games are not affected, so you dont need to deinstall those ... only uninstall the Mods that modify the /Program Files/ path. Even so, I still DO use a Mod Manager for the Mods that go into /Saved Games/ ... as sometimes I'm in doubt if some of them are causing trouble and need the ability to quickly deactivate them.
