David OC Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Would this come under commercial use of this simulator, Im thinking it would. I wonder if they have a commercial DCS licence....;) i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing. Vitormouraa Posted November 28, 2018 Author Posted November 28, 2018 If they had, they would use it just like the FAA approved one. SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com

David OC Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 If they had, they would use it just like the FAA approved one. What I mean, this doesn't come under the "personal use" and would come under a different licence. "Government and commercial entities wishing to use this software in conjunction with training or demonstrator applications must obtain a license directly from TFC under a separate pricing structure and terms of use." Many trainees are using this same install. The article even goes into detail "Detachment 215 also has a digital combat simulator system designed to replicate flying a more advanced combat aircraft, such as an A-10 or F-16. While not FAA certified, this simulator allows "students" to become more comfortable with the basics of flying and simulate piloting higher performance aircraft in highly "realistic training" and combat scenarios." They possibly do have a commercial license to do this. i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing. Vitormouraa Posted November 28, 2018 Author Posted November 28, 2018 Oh, I see what you're trying to say, indeed. But I don't think they have a commercial license for that. Just guessing. ROTC at the Davis-Monthan air base has their own A-10C sim, you can check it out . So I'm actually surprised about the fact that they used DCS in this case, I thought they would have access to this sim I posted above as well, at least the software, but no, they used DCS, the entertainment version (which is pretty cool). :) SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com

Kev2go Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 huh so Air force ROTC uses DCS as a off the shelf training instead of just using ANG's DTS A10C or the commercial level TBS? or are these just personal copies for Students?
