fael097 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 so I've seen people using iPads as a separate screen for UFC and other things. I mostly use VR so not quite my thing, but out of curiosity, is it possible to do the same with a windows device? I have a microsoft surface and a touchscreen laptop also, so I'm curious. javelina1 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Not quite a M$ Surface, but I do have a second monitor that is a touchscreen. And when I flew 2D, I used extensively for my clickable cockpits. So I would imagine so. Look up Splashtop.
hansangb Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 But the problem is going to be having DCS use RIFT *AND* another monitor. For you to use an external MFD etc, you have to have be able to configure a total resolution that includes the MFDs. I don't think you can do that with Rift. Finally, DisplayLink which is required for USB monitors *DO NOT* work with Rift. :( hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1

fael097 Posted November 28, 2018 Author Posted November 28, 2018 (edited) Yes it is. Look up Splashtop. looks like just a remote desktop software. i don't thiink you can set up a "virtual secondary monitor" or such with it, so mirroring your screen into another computer wouldn't really help Edited November 28, 2018 by fael097 Rafael Ryzen 7 1800x @ 4ghz | MSI GTX 980ti | 32gb DDR4 Ballistix 2400Mhz | Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero (wi-fi) | 480Gb Kingston NVMe ssd | Western Digital 1TB x2 | EVGA 850w PSU | Noctua NH-D14 | NZXT S240 | Windows 10 Pro 64bit | 4k 50" Philips android TV | Dell P2418D | Oculus Rift S | Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas

markc123 Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 have a look at Ikarus in this forum - you can set it up to export to a second PC. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=179525 I have spent some time editing the F/A 18 and Harrier layouts that come with it to make the UFC usable on a Surface 3. Will grab some pics over the weekend.
